Your Cookie Preferences
No preferences set yet. The consent banner will appear on page reload.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you interact with the site. SafeKept uses cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) to provide a secure and functional service.
2. Our legal basis for using cookies
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we:
- Do not require consent for strictly necessary cookies – these are essential for the website to function (e.g., authentication, security).
- Require your explicit consent for any non-essential cookies (analytics, functionality preferences) before we set them.
We will never set non-essential cookies until you provide consent via the cookie banner.
3. Types of cookies we use

These cookies are essential for the website to operate. You cannot opt out of these without breaking core functionality.

- Cross-site tracking of any kind
- Any cookies that sell or share your data with advertisers
5. How to manage your preferences
On SafeKept
Use the "Reset preferences" button at the top of this page. This clears your stored consent and the cookie banner will reappear on your next page load, allowing you to make a new choice.
In your browser
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See what cookies are stored
- Delete specific cookies or all cookies
- Block cookies from certain sites
- Block all third-party cookies
Note: Blocking essential cookies will log you out and may prevent SafeKept from functioning correctly.
For developers / manual clearing
Open your browser's Developer Tools (F12) → Application → Local Storage → select the SafeKept domain → delete the key safekept_cookie_consent → reload the page.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how we use cookies, we will increment the consent version, which will automatically re-display the cookie banner so you can review and accept the updated policy.
